Understanding the Context

Does anybody elses dogs eat carrots with no hesitation? I get those big nets for the horses, and today when Blush was down the stables with me she always sits and asks for one. Everytime I give her one and shes off in the hayshed & she chews it like a bone  I use mainly cabbage, carrots, parsnips & canned green beans. My own dog won't eat them raw, so I microwave enough chopped cabbage/carrots/parsnips to last a couple of days & then refrigerate.

Key Insights

Veggies are also good for the dog - although they will make for rather large poohs! Most dogs will go for a sweet treat, you could swap dentastix for a raw carrot,SO much better than them! No need to be sorry, you didn't have to agree The ingredients are printed on the packets, I was aware of them anyway truth of the matter is half a dentastix a week isn't going to kill them! Just wondering how you guys go about cleaning your dogs nashers....I tend to use chews like bully sticks, a carrot, raw bones, Santos and the occasional dentastix (more as a treat once a week) so what do you guys use? IME all dogs want more dinner.

Final Thoughts

A dog will eat till he`s sick then throw up and do it again. :rolleyes5: An animal will gorge then go hungry. vThey eat when food is available because food in the natural world doesn`t arrive twice a day. I think you need to smile sweetly at your dog and say say - that`s it, chum. No more din-dins. The reason I am wanting to change from wainwrights is because my dogs don't seem too keen on it even though it is all they have been used to for 5 years they still hold out for better and will only eat it when very hungry.

They seemed to have changed the cooking process of this food too as I have noticed it seems more sloppy.
