There is a craze to give Convenia for everything, sort of like what is happening with sedation now for things it should not be used for and was not needed for. I have talked to numerous people whose cats and dogs died after convenia and they have to live with that pain forever because they weren't consulted and or warned about the side effects. *Kidney failure was one of the many severe possible convenia reactions people's cats had initially when it came out so it can be a reaction, and it's irrelevant if she had some form of kidney disease already. There is a caution about giving it to cats/dogs with kidney disease as well due to how long it stays in the system.
